I have written before about the way Saudi media now cater to the propaganda interests of the Bush administration. It is part of the "deal" between the US and Saudi Arabia after Sep. 11. Yesterday, I read a column by `Abdur-Rahman Ar-Rashid (former editor-in-chief of Prince Salman's mouthpiece, Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat) and current director of Al-Arabiya TV). He was writing about the recent deal with North Korea and said that Bush has the right "to hold his head high." I kid you not. This about a president with an approval ratings of 29 and who does not get those words from Fox News or the Washington Times. And this from a propagandist from House of Saud.
