AlArabiya has been promoting unendingly the project (still on paper) for an American University in Iraq (based in Sulaymaniyyah). They keep airing different reports about it in their regular newscast simply because "the board" met yesterday in Sulaymaniyyah. Board member, Fouad Ajami, said that it will be "the most revolutionary thing" in the world. One report ended by the correspondent saying that board members don't deny that the US-funded university will be part of "the US empire." The philosophy department promised that students will only read Bush's speeches as examples of philosophical texts while the physics department promised that only Bush's advanced theory in physics will be taught. In political science, the emphasis will be on the reading list of Mr. Bush--all 10 pages of them.
