Look at the kind of insights that Fouad Ajami writes about the Middle East (and the kind of "insights" that are welcomed in the US press): "Nablus in the West Bank is no more amenable to reason than is Gaza." Can you imagine of somebody writes that "Mexico is no more amenable to reason than Brazil"? Don't get me wrong. I am still eager to read Ajami, but only when he writes about his friend Scooter Libby.
