Lies and fabrications of Saudi media. I heard on Al-Arabiya TV, and they were citing "the authority of Al-Hayat newspaper, that Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi (the famous tele-Islamist) warned in a speech in Egypt of "Shi`ite penetration" of the Middle East. The station sounded quite thrilled with that development although Qaradawi is associated with AlJazeera TV, the rival of Al-Arabiya, and has been stationed in Qatar for years. Al-Arabiya was clearly trying to exploit those statements. Never impressed with the veracity or reliability of Saudi media, I went to the official site of Qaradawi himself to retrieve the text of the speech and found that his words are certainly not what was reported on Al-Arabiya TV. It is just amazing how much Al-Qa`idah/House of Saud/Zionism are eager for Sunni-Shi`ite discord. In his speech, Qaradawi warned against Shi`ite penetration of Sunnism, and vice versa. But the vice-versa was not even reported in Al-Arabiya TV. The words of Qaradawi were clearly taken out of context. Al-Arabiya did also did not mention that Hasan Nasrallah and Qaradawi are friends, or that is what I heard from the former.
