They never dared to attack him when he was alive; so now they attack him because he is dead. The trashing of Edward Said in Al-Hayat. Following the lead of fanatical Zionists here in the US, this writer by the name of Sayyid Mahmud, writing in a newspaper funded by Wahhabi fanatical royals, dares in a silly article in Al-Hayat to suggest that the writings of Edward Said on media coverage of Islam are not that different from the views of Islamic fundamentalists. This attempt by these Saudi publications, which are contributing to the campaign by the Saudi royals to win Washington's favor, to emulate the criticisms of Edward Said in the likes of Commentary magazine will not obscure the motives of the House of Saud's media. Said lived a secular life, and died as a secular.
