It is amazing how skillful Hariri Inc is in agitating Sunnis in Lebanon along narrow sectarian lines. This started in earnest in 1998 when Salim Huss was prime minister. In that last election, mini-Hariri just bought off (allegedly) every single Sunni cleric in Lebanon. Even the kooky pro-Bin Laden Shaykh of the Biqa`, Khalil Al-Mays, became pro-Hariri.
