People are nervous around here; the bombing yesterday threw public opinion into confusion. Here was the pro-Hariri camp (and its allies) insisting on blaming Lahhud and Syria for the bombings in the last several months. But the target yesterday was a son-in-law of the Lebanese president, and the Murr family is one of the staunchest allies and beneficiaries of the Lebanese-Syrian security order in Lebanon. People are now really confused, and willing to accuse new parties and sides. There are now people who are worried that Israel or some Sunni fanatical group may be behind the bombings. Or is there more than one side responsible? Nobody knows; and wild speculations abound. The Hariri TV yesterday accused a group sheltered in the `Ayn Al-Hilwah Palestinian Refuge camp. In other news, I will be speaking tonight at 6:00PM in the `Ayn Al-Hilwah Refugee camp. Abu Mazin is increasingly detested in the refugee camps here. By the way. Is Bush still "making progress" in Iraq? And as I have been away from the US, has Bush been spreading "liberty" around the world?
